MARSHFIELD, WI (Submitted to OnFocus) – Has an aging property in your neighborhood become the neighborhood shining star? Do you know someone who has done such a good job of restoring or maintaining their property that they should be recognized? The Marshfield Historic Preservation Commission would like your assistance in identifying candidates for the 2022 Stewardship Awards program.

To raise awareness of preservation and restoration, the Commission will present awards to landowners who have demonstrated exemplary management of historic preservation through the renovation and maintenance of their property.

Any property 50 years of age or older, or any person or business involved in educating and promoting history in the community, is eligible. The awards will be announced and presented annually or semi-annually in May in conjunction with Historic Preservation Month or a joint council meeting.

To submit an application, go to:
https://www.ci.marshfield.wi.us/community/historic_preservation/stewardship_award_pr ogram.php, print the application form and send your completed application to: Historic Preservation Commission, City of Marshfield, 207 W 6th Street, Marshfield, WI 54449 or email [email protected].

The forms are also available at the town hall in the Planning Services Department. In order for your application to be considered, please submit applications by Monday March 28, 2022.

The Commission and municipal staff look forward to working with the community to promote the historic character of Marshfield through education and awareness. Help us celebrate the people and places that make Marshfield interesting, unique and important.
