Knoxville School Board to Create Ken Locke Preservation Committee | Radio KNIA KRLS
The Knoxville School Board held a discussion Monday about creating a Ken Locke Stadium Preservation Committee. Knoxville School District Business Manager Craig Mobley spoke to KNIA/KRLS News about the committee
When our facilities task force recommended spending the $2.5 million, part of that recommendation included the creation of a Ken Locke Preservation Committee. The Board had a discussion on the creation and composition of this committee. At this time, it looks like there will be two members from our School Board, our Facilities Manager, three members from the Alumni Association/SOS Committee, three members from the Town of Knoxville, and two members from the Marion County Historical Society will be invited to the Committee.”
Once committee members are chosen, they will meet and discuss the future of the stadium.
