Need funding for natural resources? – Lewiston Sun Diary
LEWISTON — Are you a landowner, a woodlot owner or a farmer? Are you interested in applying for funding from the Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) next year to do bigger projects that help you and are good for the environment? Would you like to be part of the decision on the distribution of money in Androscoggin and Sagadahoc counties? We want your opinion! The Androscoggin Valley Soil and Water Conservation District will host the USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service Local Task Force Annual Meeting on October 26 from 9:30 a.m. to 12 p.m., office from the USDA, 254 Goddard Road, Lewiston.
This meeting is open to the public. We will discuss the 2023 USDA NRCS programs and make decisions on funding priorities for the Environmental Quality Incentive Program (EQIP) in Androscoggin and Sagadahoc counties.
