Senior Director of Institutional Giving at the National Trust for Historic Preservation

The Aspen Leadership Group is proud to partner with the National Trust for Historic Preservation in the search for a Senior Director of Institutional Giving.

Reporting to the Director of Development, the Senior Director of Institutional Giving will increase support for the National Trust for Historic Preservation by promoting and securing philanthropic support from institutional donors, which include foundations, corporations and government agencies. The Senior Director will have primary and strategic responsibility for all aspects of a $5-10 million institutional giving program and will be primarily responsible for high-level relationships with institutional donors and prospects, leading these efforts with the commitment and participation of the National Trust. staff and volunteers. The Senior Director will be a member of the organization’s frontline fundraising team. To ensure sustainable program growth, the Senior Director will partner with colleagues in the department to develop both contacts with potential donors and the infrastructure necessary to support this growth. Thus, the Senior Director will balance outreach and potential contacts with necessary internal contacts, marketing, proposal development, systems development and other infrastructure builds.

A bachelor’s degree or equivalent years of relevant experience is required for this position, along with at least 10 years of experience in budgeting, staffing, managing a department, supervising professionals and leading teams to generate high quality results. The salary for this position is $135,000 per year.
