At a meeting today, the Historic Preservation Board (HPB) reviewed plans for the high-design, high-performance contemporary property designed by Pierre Marin in collaboration with Kobi Karp Architects, with resounding support for the project from prominent members of the community including Jack Finglassformer Chairman of the Historic Preservation Board; Howard HerringPresident and CEO of New World Symphony; Lyle Stern, Chairman of the Koniver Stern Group; as well as the Miami Design Preservation League and the Lincoln Road Business Improvement District.
In announcing its approval, the HPB acknowledged SHVO’s commitment to engage miami beach historic pedigree with One Soundscape Park, which will feature 52,500 square feet of Class A retail space featuring panoramic displays of Soundscape Park, South Beach and the Atlantic Ocean.
Boasting front-row exposure to Soundscape Park, the building features a refined, hospitality-focused lobby and five floors of vibrant office space with private loggia terraces for informal gatherings.
A deliberate contemporary nod to rhythmic Art Deco verticals, the striking façade is a composition of white vertical fins that vary in density and height of floor-to-ceiling glazing, which also provide a sophisticated, eco-friendly sun shading device. environment that maximizes internal daylight.
