The Historic Preservation Committee seeks applications

For the Hub City Times

MARSHFIELD – Has an aging property in your neighborhood become the shining star of the neighborhood? Do you know anyone who has done such a good job restoring or maintaining their property that they should be recognized? The Marshfield Historic Preservation Committee is requesting assistance in identifying nominees for the 2019 Stewardship Award Program.

To raise public awareness of preservation and restoration, the committee will award prizes to property owners who have demonstrated exemplary stewardship in historic preservation through the renovation and maintenance of their property.

Any property 50 years or older, or any person or business involved in historical education and promotion in the community, is eligible. The awards will be announced and presented annually or semi-annually in conjunction with Historic Preservation Month or a Marshfield Town Council meeting.

To submit an application, go to www.ci.marshfield.wi.us/businesses/historic_preservation/stewardship_award_program.php, print the application form and mail it to: Historic Preservation Committee, City of Marshfield, 207 W Sixth St., Marshfield, WI, 54449 or email [email protected] Forms are also available at Marshfield Town Hall in the Developmental Services Department.
